UPS review by RHinCA

The UPS computer system appears to have been written by less than competent programmers in that I had put the correct everything for the address but the street name and street number. While the UPS delivery people had the package and were in the correct city (Phoenix), neither I nor the local UPS Store owner could persuade UPS to update the street address & street number to the correct address. Not that the UPS people were unwilling, but rather than their computer system did not allow a street address update. Then the package (after 3 tries to deliver to an empty building despite our telling them it was empty) we were able to get them to hold it at the local UPS Distribution center, where they lost it and searches could not find it.....until we filed for insurance loss and UPS had ok'ed a check$$$ ($500), when it was suddenly found and days later returned to sender (me). Now I had the item and the UPS insurance check ($500). So I phoned the number but could not get through their computer system to a live person (got stuck in a loop). The $500 UPS insurance check has a 90 day lifespan, so I have it gathering dust to let it expire. Currently I have another item coming via UPS, and in about a week, it has not made it out of the State of the sender. What is happening to UPS? Or Boeing? Brain fog from covid shots? Dunno, but I have had better success with the USPS and their Priority Mail. Have not used FedEx for a long time, so don't know how they are performing.

  • I honestly can't say I've had a bad experience except one time. I'd rather use them than the post office. Now Fed Ex, that's a whole other world! They don't even come to mind when I want to send something, THAT'S how bad it is!

  • They deliver, but tracking leaves a lot to be improved, no time stamps, no eta, so you are hostage until your package arrives.....when it arrives

  • Keep getting email stating I need to give better directions...false tracking number...is this a scam to give more information? Has happened multiple times with different orders...better check this out if it is a scam...poor business security!

  • My post office won't deliver packages to my address they expect you to come to the post office and pick packages up they don't care if you're sick disabled etc. it is ridiculous that the Clarion pa post office does this
